Web conferencing programs allow businesses to connect and communicate among employees and clients from anywhere at anytime. By utilizing a web conferencing program for the company, it will save time and money and eliminate some of the e-mails and phone calls. The programs available today offer several packages, but they can differ by cost, usability, security, and functionality. We will discuss the top web conferencing programs and determine which one will be the best option for the company.

Many of the web conferencing comparison websites were vendor specific. With further research, Publicare offered a comparison that was vendor independent. The table below displays the results given to the top five web conferencing programs (Publicare, 2011).

The website gives a detailed description of each program on a number of areas. Of the top five programs GoToMeeting and WebEx offer the most features and functions. In terms of license details, WebEx, however, allows for up to 25 people on a single lincense, while GoToMeeting allow up to 15 people. For a large company WebEx would be the best choice.

WebEx offers several different packages, but it also has a large user based. According to Web Conferencing Comparison (2011), “more than 7 million people use Cisco's WebEx products every month to communicate and collaborate online”. Some of the company’s clients, colleagues, customers, and partners may already be using WebEx.

Through research WebEx would be the best choice for the company. It offers several functions that would benefit not only the company, but also clients and partners that the company has around the world.
