Problem Statement

QuickMedx (from now on QM) is an innovative healthcare initiative that provides basic diagnosis and prescription solutions for rapid to perform and easy conclusive diagnosed diseases.

The problem QM is facing is separated in two sections: first of all whether their business model is profitable in the long run and second which is the best way of achieving profitability and growth.

Analysis

What is the business model?

What – Need – Diagnosis and prescriptive services which are fast and low cost.

Who – Patients with symptoms of a common illness, that do not have either time to spend in ER or do not have insurance, do not have high income.

How – Basic service, focused on small number of easily identifiable diseases where the diagnosis and prescription can be performed rapidly in a convenient location.

Their business model is based on the need for diagnosis and treatment of certain common diseases. The how is through convenient based locals in (one-stop-shop locations) run by low cost, certified NP´s that run quick tests to diagnose and give prescription to diseased selected or otherwise send the patient to a physician. The target market are patients that ¨know what they have¨ and do not want to pay excessively or wait long to solve their problem.

What is the Value Proposition and Differentiation?

Traditional services in USA are hospitals, clinics, emergency rooms and/or family physicians. They provide full care to patients with simple or complex conditions in a continuous manner. They can detect patterns or do problem solving for diagnosis with specialized practitioners. Generally, those types of services bear high cost, so the final price for the patient is high.
