Inditex (Industria de Diseño Textil, S.A.)  is one of the most important Spanish company and the world's largest fashion group (formed by different brands: Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, Zara Home, Tempe and Uterqüe). The headquarter of the firm is located in Arteixo (A Coruña, Spain) that was also the location of the first Zara´s shop In 1975. Since that day the company began its incredible growth, and today has more than 5.400 shops in 78 different countries worldwide.

During the last days I have been investigating, about the Corporate social responsibility strategy of the firm, its reputational risks, and the scandals that had to face during the last years. I had never analyzed a company from this point of view before, and I found it very interesting.

Inditex shows a strong Corporate social responsibility strategy, and I think the most important points regard its suppliers and the society:

* The code of conduct that its supplier have to respect in order to maintain a relation with the company (with an intensive evaluation of supplier and outsourcing firms)

* The investments in social initiative like the Community Development Programs (Training and generation of opportunities to improve the standard of leaving of the people in no developed countries), Monitoring programs (humanitarian aid and programs of medical humanitarian action), Emergency programs (to alleviate the consequences of natural catastrophes which have occurred anywhere in the world),Programs for the integration in the workplace of persons with a disability.

Despite the big efforts in order to audit its suppliers, in the last years the company have been involved in more than one scandal regarding the labor conditions of the worker of the supplier of Inditex. In my opinion the most important have been:

* In 2003 a Zara´s supplier was involved in a Child Labor Scandal in Morocco

* In 2006 another Zara´s supplier was involved in a Child...
