Verbal and Nonverbal Communication

There are five principles of verbal communication the first principle is to recognize that all languages have value, the second principle is to understand that everyone speaks in a regional of language with unique pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. The third principle is to understand that words don’t always mean the same thing to everyone and sometimes the words can be misunderstood. The forth principle is to recognize how language is used with different cultures and the fifth and final principle is to follow suggestions for effective verbal communication so that way you move closer to shared understanding.

There are five principles of nonverbal communication; the first principle is your facial expression, the tone in your voice, the way that you use your hands when speaking to someone. The second principle is that people little to learn and understand about nonverbal communication. The third principle is that the nonverbal messages are sent out before someone opens up their mouth to speak; this is just by the way that you carry yourself and how your appearance is. The forth principle is people’s identities and emotion. The Final principle is that nonverbal communication, like verbal communication, is culture-bound.

The three principles that I believe is critical for effective communications would be the second and third principle of the verbal communications. When communicating with a person you should always make sure that you are using proper grammar and that you know exactly what is that you are talking about, not using the correct words can have a person lost while you are trying to communicate with that person. The third critical would be your appearance and the way that you are speaking to a person example, all my life I have hear people say to me that it is not what you say but it’s how you are saying it.
