1. What could have caused Myelin’s disease?

The cause of MS is still uncertain, and although it is considered an autoimmune disease. MS affects the central nervous systems by attacking the brain and the spinal cord and can vary from person to person.

The damage to the nerve is caused by inflammation. Inflammation occurs when the body's own immune cells attack the nervous system. This can occur along any area of the brain, optic nerve, and spinal cord.

3. What can be done to treat this disease?

There is no cure for MS but there are several medications like Copaxone, Novantrone, and Gilenya to name a few that will improve some symptoms and reduce the frequency and severity of attacks, in addition to slow down the progression of MS.

It sounds like a bacterial infection. I believe that when jimmy went swimming in the pond and he got some fluid in his ear and developed an ear infection. The ear infection developed into a bacterial infection which can cause meninges.

The nervous systems is affected when the membranes that protect the brain and spinal cord are infected. The inflammation will cause damage to the nervous system and it loses control over the

nerves. The infection can enter the body through the ear respiratory tract or the sinuses.

Bacterial meningitis can be life-threatening, so in order to treat it the person needs to be hospitalized and have an IV that will deliver antibiotic in the vein. Also a corticosteroids are generally used to reduce the swelling if caught early.
