Ethical issues are a major concern in organizations because ethical decisions can become a very costly problem for an organization if not handled correctly. Individual influences that impact ethical behavior include increased quality, new technologies, managing a diverse workforce, global competition, and keeping up with what hot in today’s society are just a few things that influence the impact of ethical behavior. Organizations influence ethical behavior in employees by offering recognition and rewards for ethical behavior so that employees would stick to being ethical instead of unethical. An example of ethical issues being addressed by corporations today would be would be law suits against companies that produce faulty medical equipment or medicine to the general public and those who were hurt by these products.

Ethical issues are a major concern in organizations because they play a very important role in whether or not a corporation can withstand challenging times for years to come. If an organization is not ethical, it is a greater chance that the organization would do all they can in their power to secretly scam an individual instead of helping an individual through certain issues. If organizations are caught being unethical of doing any of these acts, it could lead to the organization losing their customers or losing their business to other business or worse, being completely shutdown and not allowed to continue their business.

Influences that impact ethical behavior can range from new technologies to global competition. These are only to however. Ethical behavior can be influenced by any good that comes from a business or organization. This is why ethical behavior is so easily influenced.
