Mrs Jane comes into the pharmacy on a Sunday morning. She explains to you that she has being feeling nauseous, was vomiting, a bit edgy and had troubles sleeping. She then mentions that she has being forgetting things in the last couple of months and it must be the “Parkinson’s notching up a level and all those new medications”. Jane say’s her daughter thinks she has dementia due to the worsening Parkinson’s and her forgetfulness. Jane fiddles through the bag trying to find where she left her prescription only to find it in her front pocket, she hands you a script for Noten 50mg 1 m, Temazepam 10mg 1/2 n prn and Alprim 1 n for 3 nights. She then says “yes the doctor said I have a urinary tract infection that’s why he gave me Noten”.
