The prerequisite for develop an HR strategy is to attract, hire and retain people who are best suited to the company’s values, mission and objectives. HR-business strategies work better, more often, with more employees than poor or nonexistent strategies. Toyota has a workforce that works for the company in every way. They value employee security understand that a pleasant non-confrontational environment is best for the employee / management team. They are team players that are willing and able to show up at work and learn ways to reduce cost and be more efficient. They are employees that want to learn new techniques and ways of doing things. There are several strategies that Toyota uses in their HR strategies. According to Toyota the business strategy and the HR strategy are one and the same.

Japanese approach business as looking to continuously improve their strategies and policies for the good of the company and the business. They are working to eliminate waste such as improving time management, decreasing office clutter and other inefficient methods.
