Quartz – extremely easy to use and install, original & innovative digital shower, which combines stunning look and performance. Worth mentioning that it is compatible with nearly all domestic plumbing systems.

Question 1: Why is the Quartz Shower not selling?

1. Conservative „mafia”

As it is mentioned in the case, there were approximately 10.000 master plumbers in the UK, distrusting innovation, and avoiding unfamiliar products (being sure for no reason that innovation presents uknown performance problems). Worth mentioning that bungled installation cases consequences direct financial loss for the plubmer, as second visit is payed out of his pocket, which definately reinforces distrust. Taking into consideration in 73 % of cases, plumber is the person who influences the brand’s and shower type’s choice, it explains the reason showers were not selling.

2. Simple ignorance

There is a situation mentioned in the case, when a woman willing Quartz to be installed, rreceived a negative plumber’s reaction, and had to insist chosen product to be installed. After the shower was installed (in few hours, instead of few days, he even asked a brochure, and received more jobs late. This situation reflects the fact of the lack of information which could convert the consumers opinion.

3. Niche product

Taking into account Quartz’s technical characteristics, it can be concluded that this product is good for homes with children or for elderly, handicaped people. Author of the paper thinks, that this fact also influences the sales quantities.

4. Price

Still, the author of the paper assumes that Quartz products are overpriced, putting it into „premium” segment...
