Discuss the factors that influence a consumer to spend money and time at Ethel’s.
The factors that influence consumers to spend their money and time at Ethel’s are members of
Different social class, such as the upper and middle class communities. The reason why I say this
is because of its ambience the pink and brown chic contemporary look, it’s geared for the
Socialite because of its hours of operation. When you enter into Ethel’s you feel like you
Have entered into this beautiful luxurious chocolate house for the social elite, but in all actuality
It’s geared for the middle class or the working individual that enjoys the finer things but a pretty
Okay cost. For this segment of patrons (Upper to Middle Class). The reason why I said it’s
geared toward this genre of patrons is because people of the Lower class society isn’t going to
want to spend money on chocolates that cost from anywhere between $15 to 42 per platter. They
are going to look for a deal if possible and not only that they are going to buy what they can
afford. Even though on the other hand they do sell pieces of chocolate individually at a nominal
cost, where if a patron of a lower social class would know or hear about these chocolates they
might would buy them at the individual cost which still wouldn’t be worth because they would
be getting a piece of candy instead of a candy bar for the same price. Not only that people of the
same gender (woman) may want to hangout only in Ethel’s because of its chocolate and chitchat
look. With its lavish ambience featuring the pink stuffed couches and the accents of browns are
geared towards its female patrons and the modern and traditional feeling gives the feeling of this
is a place where a woman would like to be chitchatting and the chocolate what woman wouldn’t
want to be here to socialize with her friends. I think people...
