The deadline for delivery of the final project to PROVISION (the updated and programmed Wand) is quickly approaching. In only 6 months all aspects must be complete and submitted, therefore, we will schedule an overview meeting for the project stakeholders in order to identify and meet their expectations. An immense amount of organizing and apportioning is needed in order to assure a smooth process and a successful final project. During our meeting we will be reviewing the primary project plan while obtaining as much input from all departments as possible.

Background

As project manager, I must assure that every stakeholder’s expectations are taken into account and fulfilled for before the project can commence, we must have clear approval from the stakeholders.

Project stakeholders include all entities who are actively involved in the project, who have a vested interest in the project outcome and/or who may have an impact on the project whether a negative or positive impact. The project management team must identify the stakeholders, determine their requirements and expectations, and, to the extent possible, manage their influence in relation to the requirements to ensure a successful project

The following are this project’s stakeholders for PROVISION’s software and hardware.

Project manager – “responsible for managing the project” (PMBOK Guide, p. 26).

Saeed Irfan, selected from the Product Development Department and Software Team. My experience in the software field will be a good asset in the process of updating and upgrading the new version of the software to be in compliance with the selected hardware.

Performing organization – “the enterprise whose personnel are most directly involved in doing the work of the project” (PMBOK Guide, p. 440).
