I am writing to express my interest in the Corporate Treasury Intern position as well as the Business Case Intern position. I am writing in response to the internship opportunities posted on your company’s website, which were brought to my attention by Mary Abood, Director of Corporate Communications. Ferro’s mission to be a leading advanced materials company while expanding to countries worldwide coincides with my passions for learning more about business operations and foreign cultures. In addition to my Finance & Economics majors, I have continued my studies of Spanish at the collegiate level and posses a comprehensive understanding of the language.

I have worked at Heinen’s Fine Foods for more than two years and have gained valuable knowledge of the store’s operations. At Heinen’s Fine Foods, I learned the basic process of a sale from the beginning to the end. I have experience placing and receiving shipments, communicating with sales/store managers and in customer service. I also learned how to market products and communicate with potential customers about the company’s products. I have gained and understanding of the supply chain and several financial aspects of the operation of a grocery store.

I will be mailing hard copies of the materials that are to be submitted online. I would love to have the opportunity to shadow a member of your finance office to gain a better understanding of how the financial sector of the company operates.
