Audience: My assigned group and the instructor of AIU

Purpose: To inform the class on Business Management and the skill it takes to be a good manager and tips to put thing in place.

Context: The classroom. I will be using the college’s website to present my PowerPoint slides using the live chat area of AIU.

I. Introduction:

Business management is something that has to be master in order to be a good manager of people. Knowing your staff and where to place your people is essential to the success of your company.

II. Body:

A. What does it take to be an effective manager?

A good manager knows how to delegate responsibility to its staff and motivating his people to get the best possible work achieved. A manager must know to plan in order to achieve the goals of the company and organize in order to get the work done on time and identifying problems early on so they can be corrected as soon as possible. The planning stage is where all the other parts of management Begin from and it’s important at all levels of management. The Company’s vision, mission, objective, are taken into consideration in the planning stage and each one is worked through separately (Erwin, 1994

B. What would you do to motivate your staff?

It is important that you as a manager have an open door policy so your employees know that they can communicate what they are feeling on the job whether it is a problem with other employees or how to complete an assignment. Motivating your employees to do the best job possible start with a good work environment and allowing employees to be involved in goal setting and making sure that all employees skill are developed.

C. How would you delegate responsibility?

Delegating responsibility to employees allows you as a manger to concentrate on more important aspects of the business. When you delegate a manager need to have the staff involved, each employees should know what is expected of them, selecting the right person the job and...
