National Healthcare

The topic of my proposal paper will be The Pros and Cons of National Health Insurance. National Health Insurance is health insurance that insures a national population for the costs of healthcare and usually is instituted as a program of healthcare reform. It can be given through public, private, or a combination of both areas. Funding for national health insurance varies with the different programs and countries. National health insurance does not associate with government run or government financed health care, but is usually established by national legislation.

The purpose of my paper is to explain the importance of national health insurance, how it works for the population, and how it my hold back the population in the health care sector. I will gather information about the United States National Health Insurance as well as Germany National Health Insurance ( I chose Germany because they have the world’s oldest national health care), then I will compare and contrast both countries national health insurance policies. I will be gathering information from several websites, journal articles, healthcare literature, and I also will be conducting a small self made survey that I will distribute to about 50 people to get their opinion about National Health Insurance.

In conclusion, by presenting this paper I hope to give the audience as well as myself more knowledge about National Health Insurance, the pros and cons, and also give my audience further reading materials. My paper will reflect on the past, present, and future National Health Insurance Policies.
