Facility Planning- Part I

The information that the author will be discussing will include some information that was gathered from the surgical center that’s in the city of Ohio. The author will also discuss the many people who visits the surgical center. That would be the population the center has. A very detailed description will be in discussed in details.

Also he will discuss the community or facility that is needed for the building and the renovations at the

Salem Hospital which is open today for business. The hospital gives much needed service is the Community Hospital. The surrounding communities have similar surgery centers that are around the Salem community hospitals, which helps get establish in many areas. Many residents all over travel a great distances to get a better care. A new building is constructed for the Center.

The many population acts as the Hospital in Salem are known as the Surgery Center for the ones who have chosen to have a one day surgery. The patients ranges from young to old, and all ethnic races background. The center will also have a small population. The Center only accommodates small children, and small infants that have a special health care problem that will require special surgery. A special surgery is having your tonsils and the removal of your adenoid ,as well as tube insertions. The authors suggested center will provide a full pediatric surgery for those who may need the health care. Many residents have to travel to the hospitals that are a distance from their community.

The Salem Hospital opened their doors in the mid 1900s, which held 70 patients” (Salem Community Hospital History, para. 1-2). Through many years the center grew rapidly. The Salem Hospital was later extended in the late 2003 to a three story level in the front of the hospital, which has several service departments for patients who have specific needs. “The Surgery Center was completed after a three year construction and renovation site”...
