A healthy lifestyle is one of the most important things for school. If you do not have a healthy lifestyle, you might not do as well in school as someone who does. People do not realize how much your health impacts every aspect of your life, including school.

If you are living a healthy lifestyle, you’re probably doing better in school than someone who is not. Kids who just sit around and watch television instead of getting up and doing something are probably not doing very well in school. Living a healthy lifestyle is important because if you are one of those kids that just sit around, you are not getting any exercise. Exercise helps stimulate the brain and helps you sleep at night. If you get more sleep at night, then you are less prone to sleeping in class which helps you do better because you are actually learning. Kids who live a healthy lifestyle also have more energy and are more alert than kids who do not live a healthy lifestyle.

Eating the right foods also has a major impact on your lifestyle and how you are in school. Fruits, vegetables and other “healthy” foods do not have you dragging like sugary foods. Those sugary foods weigh you down and make you sleepy, unlike the healthier foods that have zero to little amounts of sugar. School lunches should have more healthy options because then kids would not be dragging after lunch and would not be more prone to sleeping. Schools should have to get rid of some of the “bad” foods that they have because it is just making their students sleepy and no one wants a student sleeping in their class. Eating breakfast will also help. Students who do not eat breakfast are more prone to sleeping as well because they did not get a jump start to their day.

There is no way to force students into eating better and living better lifestyles but we can educate them. Showing students what will happen if they do not do something about their lifestyle can usually influence them to change some of the things that they are doing....
