Public Speech Critique Paper
In this paper, we are going to discuss how a public speaker delivers his or her topic to their audiences. During the speech the speaker needs to have an introduction, body, conclusion, and questions, and answers. The speaker needs to have a good voice and body language, audiences, visual aids, and overall performance on his or her topic. The public speaker we are going to discuss is Joyce Meyer.
Joyce Meyer topic was about how “Becoming Debt Free – Part 2” the introduction gained my attention and interest about what she was going to discuss in her speech. I believe that Joyce Meyer was clear about the topic. She had credibility about what topic she was speaking about to her audiences. Joyce Meyer flowed right into the body of her speech. Joyce Meyer deliver a clear main points about becoming debt free by showing how with four points. Number One was work, two was give, three was saving, and four was spending. I was interest about how Joyce Meyer was right about how we spend in today’s world. We are living what we what not what we need. She supported her main points with fully about the topic. Joyce Meyer was very organization and used accurate language when she was speaking to the audiences.
Joyce Meyer prepared the audience for the ending of the speech by giving them homework about becoming debt free. She asks her audiences to write down what they owe and what they own. Then she asks them to praise God knowing what they owe or own. She reinforced the main points about the speech. As christens we need to live our lives “30% below our means if they ever intend to be financially secure and people spends more then they make” (Joyce Meyer Ministries, 2010).
