I have seen my share of struggling families here in the United States and it sours me to know that not much is being done to help these people. Our country is one of the richest countries and cannot provide simple solutions to put them in homes, or even provide them with some kind of job to provide for their families. Instead they would rather raise taxes on the poor and the middle classes and make it even more difficult. In our country, there have been more family homicides and suicides due to not being able to provide for their families, it hurts my heart to hear.

But what about other countries around the world, what are their governments doing to deter poverty for struggling families? This is not just a situation close to home, this is a situation that is worldwide and must be addressed by everyone. When these leaders come together and speak to one another about world peace, money, oil and so on and so forth, why is it they don’t speak about the good of the people? All people. I do understand that world peace is very important so that all countries can try and get along with one another, and trading goods with one another so countries can make money to keep the country running. But what about creating jobs for these smaller countries so people may provide for their families? Instead, jobs are being taken away and people are being put out on the street and they are suffering. Government keeps saying they are doing everything they can to rectify the situation, but what? What are they doing to create more jobs, what are they doing to build more homes, what are they doing to get these children in better schools and what are they doing to make sure these types of situations don’t happen again? And if they do, they don’t just sit on it until it is too out of control.
