We are all aware that if we do not start taking care of the Earth, our children and on down the line will pay for our mistakes. We all also know that there are many steps that we can take to do our part to help with this problem. However, there are also false solutions that everyone should be aware of and cautious about.

Out of the article that I read in at the site of Greenpeace USA, it listed Carbon Capture, Nukes, and Forest offsets as a few of the technologies that we should be aware of. Carbon capture is supposed to help reduce the burning of fossil fuels by using carbon dioxide from power station smokestacks and disposing it underground. But, this method is unproven and by the time it will do something it will be too late. Nukes pretty much say it all to me in the name. Forest agreements are threatened by heavy polluters who attempt to use the alternative for themselves and their own purposes. One agreement is REDD which offsets by allowing corporate polluters to use greenhouse gases in return for protecting the forest.

I do consider these issues to be a moral issue because I think it is pretty sad that we have let things get this bad before we decided to push to protect what we have for our children. I also think that common sense can play a big...
