Abstract
This paper is a report of my findings on the Wi-Fi infrastructure at McDonald’s. First it discusses the history of the restaurant. The history was very important to McDonald’s because it showed the restaurant changing over time. The restaurant even had good times and bad times. Then the report went to show the background of the corporation. It shows how the restaurant is doing. Last the report explains the Wi-Fi infrastructure and how well it is doing for the corporation.
Purpose of the Report
The 21st century is here and people are always on the computer. Computers are used for business uses and personal uses. No matter what the computers are used for people want to use computers any time they want to. In order to use your computer on the internet, you are going to need a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can find hotspots to use your computer in the library, the airport, bus stations, the mall, and even some restaurants. On the other side of Wi-Fi you have the restaurant industry. McDonalds wanted to offer Wi-Fi to its customers.
This report is a proposition to review a previously implemented wireless networking system that addressed customer satisfaction at McDonalds to determine if the implementation met the needs of the organization was successful. Wireless networking or as we call it Wi-Fi is a popular demand and everyone wants access to it, McDonalds wants you to have it.
Wireless networking refers to any type of computer network that is not connected by cables of any kind. Wi-Fi is a standard for wireless fidelity is used as a local area network that uses high frequency radio signals to transmit and receive data over distances of a few hundred feet.
