Terrorism touched the lives of many Americans on September 11th, 2001 when Al-Qaeda decided to attack the United States through means of our airways. The significance of terrorism truly showed face to all citizens seconds after the news reports began to display the events of this horrific event. Until this day, terrorism only showed light in other countries and seemed to have a lesser impact on the United States to the average American. Despite the importance of terrorism, many individuals did not have the underlying concept of terrorism or felt somewhat indestructible. Prior to 9/11 the United States had not faced a terrorist attack to this magnitude in previous history.

Preceding the turmoil of the event, statements began to surface that the United States government were aware of the potential attacks from Al-Qaeda. It was believed that the government received warning signs of an attack prior to 9/11 through various forms.Speculation suggests that the Bush Administration covered two Israelis arrested with tank explosive trucks in Washington. The cover up was spun off by the news media with the guidance of the governmental tactics. There are rumors that the U.S government begun to receive potential warnings dating back to 1998 regarding Al-Qaeda planning an attack. There were numerous findings that suggest the CIA gained knowledge of warning signs and failed to forward that information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Due to the lack of action, many believe that this event could have been avoided and handled in a more secure fashion.
