Abolishment of UK Royal Family:

In this essay, the question of whether the United Kingdom should abolish its Royal Family and have an elected president as head of state instead of the Queen will be considered. The Royal Family is a vital part of The United Kingdom, not only because of its historical background and tradition but also their ability to rule as protector of people. It is an important issue for citizen of The United Kingdom and it is a very delicate argument because there are lots of controversial ideas about it.

Firstly, The Royal Family has been vital for the United Kingdom. There are many examples to prove that. For instance, during Second World War, The Royal Family was a morale source for society. The Royal Family tried to hold together very well. In my opinion, they were successful in their position. Another reason is most countries where there is no clear national figurehead. Generally, they are elected by politicians or society who affected by politicians. For example the USA, It's obvious that some Americans regard their presidents with the same kind of irrational reverence that some of the UK citizens reserve for the monarchy. The British royal family has no real political power. When you regard a real politician in the same way it can be very dangerous. People may get things like the invasion of Iraq, which many Americans supported, put blind faith in their president, assuming that he had some good reason to do what he did because he was the president, and that meant he was worthy of respect as ruler

On the other hand, the monarchy is no longer needed inside of modern democracy. Parliamentary governmental democracy removes the requirement for an all-powerful individual to make all of the decisions for the nation. The government now is made up of a group of individuals who make those decisions for the nation and they are voted in by the people. So the monarchy is no longer needed to rule the people.
