Strengths and Flaws

As a leader, there are strengths that you need to possess in order to be considered a leader. But not all leaders are perfect; most leaders have their own type of flaws also. What kind of flaws do they have you might ask? Well it depends on whom you’re talking to because different leaders have different flaws. In my perspective, I consider myself as a leader but I have strengths and flaws that other leaders don’t have.

I’ve been to many leadership events that have given me the opportunity to learn how to become a powerful leader. Some of the strengths that I possess as a leader are communication, motivation, and optimism. A big flaw that I have found out I possess is procrastination. First off, communication is one of my biggest strengths. I have been involved in many clubs and organizations that have taught me to be able to communicate with anyone and everyone. I definitely am not a powerful communicator like Martin Luther King Jr. or Barack Obama, but I sure can socialize my way through things. From my previous paper, I described how communication is definitely a key characteristic in becoming an ideal leader. Why? Without communication, there is no way to explain to others how passionate you are about your opinions, which may result in no supporters.

My next strength is motivation. I feel that I am able to motivate others and myself. I am passionate about the things I do and the choices I make. My decisions are strong because they have a lot to do with my future and the only way I will achieve my goals is if I motivate myself and motivate others to help support me in the things that I do for our society. No matter how hard the situation can get, I always find myself finding motivation to fight harder and to not give up. This is definitely one of my great strengths that keep me moving.

My last greatest strength would be optimism. I love this strength the most because this is what drives me everyday. Without optimism, I don’t know...
