In my work i will present organizational culture in British company Pret a Manger. I will explain all the system and the way it is working and how efficiently it is. I have started my ethnographic research on November 2011 and during my observation I have prepared a notes and gather all information which I am going to present in my work. This report will be taking a look at internal and external factors the company positively and negatively. The report will include what they do well and not so well? What issues are affecting the company at present and in the future?

Prêt A Manger is Britain’s most environmentally friendly food supplier and   specializes in fresh sandwiches and drinks containing no chemicals. He creates handmade natural food avoiding the obscure additives and preservatives common in companys like MacD onald or KFC. This gives them an edge over their competitors, because people now care a lot about their health. Pret opened in London in 1986. College friends, Sinclair and Julian, made proper sandwiches avoiding the obscure chemicals common to so much of the 'prepared' and 'fast' food on the market today. The two of them had woefully little experience in the world of business. They created the sort of food they craved but couldn't find anywhere else. At this moment there are about 265 Pret shops worldwide at the moment and the company is growing. Most of the shops are in the UK and between them company turn over roughly 380 million pounds a year. When you walk into a Pret, you will see a wall full of sandwiches, wraps and baguettes, along with various drinks and other snacks. They are quite costly, but some would argue that the price is justified. Equally, others would argue that their products are over-priced. Behind the counter is a kitchen, where all sandwiches, wraps and baguettes are made from fresh.
