Strengths and Weaknesses of Marketing, E-Commerce and the Community that it’s apart of.

Some of the current strengths of the existing site include very solid data on how the company is doing and how it forecast future business. They have a solid standing from a head quarters perspective and where there main business is located. The internet site contains images that are right in line with what the business does and the services it tailors to. The internet site is very generic. The Intranet has much more information on the company at hand.

One of the down sides to what I have seen with the current site is that it doesn’t really contain much on the relationships that the company currently has. Listing your customers or having or sharing information on how their experiences were is only a plus. I think that another weakness that the site has is displaying within the Intranet offer letters to employee’s and personal things like this is a bit of a stretch and shouldn’t be included on a website. I don’t think that the site spends enough time on their mission and goals as many that I have seen. Another thing that really didn’t get discussed is there overall goal.

Something else that would be good to see is how they rank in with the other companies that are in the same line of work. The community piece just isn’t there and would be a huge benefit to add this. You can tell from the site that the company works with large corporations in making plastic products. Again it would be good to see how they rank with other companies in the plastic making world.

Another downfall that I seen was the company didn’t discuss what every product they make, The only thing I found on this was the pic of a bottle, including information other that a product list would be good for someone to be able to see. This is more of a Marketing issue. Strength of this site and from a marketing standpoint is that it does include information as to how the company is broken...
