a. For the survey being conducted for residents in a new sub division , At first thought one might think the use of the telephone would be a good way to gather such information. It may have been true in the past because on paper it would inexpensive and large number of households that telephones seems like a slam dunk, right? With the hustle and bustle of work, family and “me time” people do not have the time to talk on the telephone. I would use a self administered survey for this survey.

b. With the increases in technology and the ability to have information at your fingertips in an instant. More people have the smart phones or I pads which would make self administered surveys via the internet the right choice for a group of college students.

c. When it comes to something as important as a company and its workforce I would choose the personal interview approach. Unlike phone interviews and yes no questions, it is more important to gather more detailed and accurate information when it comes to human resources.

d. With such high level positions it would not be appropriate to conduct a survey with a quick telephone interview or computer based interview. With detailed information it would important to collect accurate data when talking about something as important as the economic outlook. You would probably not get a response with a telemarketing style phone survey or computer based survey.

e. With time at a premium I would suggest using a computer assisted telephone survey. It would be a cheap and accurate way to gain information quicker and less expensive. With small number of students participating in the survey this would be a good fit.
