1.1 Company Overview

The Cabcharge Australia Ltd(CAB) operates taxi charge account payment service without cash and government authorities, meanwhile, through increasing interest of its associate , it also provides bus and coach services as well. Its principal activities are developing EFTPOS technology for taxi and bus system, applying financial system on the cabcharge taxi payment system, and having the largest network in New South Wales and ownership of Taxi Combined Services. Service fee from customers by using its transaction within taxi is CAB’s main revenue. The bulk of transactions are represented by the use of CAB-branded cards and dockets by the account customers. Other revenue generates through the third-part charge cards (for example, Amex, Diners, MotorPass and JCB) and bank-issued cards (for example, MasrerCard, VISA, Bankcard and Debit Cards with EFTPOS). CAB has eight subsidiaries including Combined Communications Network Pty Ltd, Taxi Combined Services Pty Ltd, Silver Service Taxis Pty Ltd, Yellow Cabs of Sydney Pty Ltd, Cabcharge International Limited, Cabcharge New Zealand Limited, Cabcharge Investments Pty Ltd and Helpline Australia Pty Ltd. The Company’s products include Cabcharge Card, Cabcharge Gift Card, Two part TAXI eTICKET and Cabcharge Taxi Management System (CTMS).

1.2 Company History

Cabcharge was launched by a partnership between Taxis Combined and Yellow Cab Group in 1976 as mean for taxi operators to manage non-cash payment. It is listed in on the ASX in December 1999 and now one of the 200 companies in Australia. In 2001, the CAB EFTPOS FAREWAY System came to public. In early 2002 it merged with Combined Communications Network(CNN).
