OVERVIEW

Brief Information about Nokia

Nokia Corporation is one of the world’s leading handset OEMS.

Since established, it has a leading brand existence in many local markets, and business has expanded significantly in all areas to support customer needs and the growth of the telecommunications industry.

Nokia also produces mobile phone infrastructure and other telecommunications tools for applications such as;

• Traditional voice telephony,

• ISDN,

• Broadband Access,

• Professional mobile radio,

• Voice over IP,

• Wireless LAN

• A line of satellite receivers.

Nokia's origin is South Western Finland, a mining engineer Fredrik Idestam .The business was founded by the forest industry goes back to 1865. In 1898, Finnish Rubber Works established elsewhere, and Finnish Cable Works was established in 1912.

These two companies were Nokia's corporate proprietorships, and proprietorship gradually passed into the hands of a few people. Finally, in 1967, three companies were merged as Nokia Corporation.

Nokia in 1992, when the company decided to focus on the communications business and its history one of the most important strategic decisions are taken.

Then, the first GSM handset has been created. The world’s first satellite call is made, using a Nokia GSM handset.

After, first mobile games are created which name is “snake”.

After from the year of 2000 to now, Nokia made a first 3G phone, they improved contents of phones.
