Student Student Survival Guide

I am writing this survival guide as my action plan on how I plan to succeed here at the University of Phoenix. I will succeed using these six general areas: Using Axia’s Educational Resources, Upholding Academic Honesty, Setting and Achieving Goals, Managing my Time Wisely, Fostering Reading Comprehension and Retention, as well as Applying Personality and Learning Styles.

Using Axia’s Educational Resources

The first tool of Axia’s Educational Resources that I use and will continue to use through my college experience would be The University’s Library. The university library enables students including me to have access to many different creditable sources among its enormous database. When using the University Library you can research things in order by relevance and by using the basic search and an advanced search in which enables you to find things using a specific title, author, or a description. Another part of the Axia’s Educational Resources is having the tools to download the materials that help me with my assignments. This is nice to be able to download class materials or programs needed for course compared to having to spend all that money of having to buy them.

Upholding Academic Honesty

To uphold academic honesty, I make sure I always take the time to use creditable sources and make sure all my assignments have work sited pages. When I work on any assignment the first thing I do is set up a work cited page that way I can organize my research and make sure I give every source the right recognition and make my paper more creditable. Also I can use the University’s handy plagiarism tools, which tells you the percentage of which your paper is plagiarized and that way I am aware of the thing I need to change or give credit to. I also have printed out that Axia’s academic honesty policy to have at my convenience and I am truly understood and am aware of the consequences of plagiarism. I always find ways to try and avoid...
