Job Description

Cantene recently posted a job opening for a customer service position on CareerBuilder’s website. The purpose of the job is to “provide high level, comprehensive problem resolution to members and providers which may include: researching multiple claim denials, assisting members in securing access to services, educating providers, clarifying procedures, assisting provider offices with items required to meet contracting requirements and responding to complaints or grievances”. (CareerBuilder, 2011) The position responsibilities include: “Provide high level, comprehensive problem resolution to members and providers, Manage expectations and resolve customer concerns, Educate providers and their staff on company policies and procedures, Assist members with securing services from participating providers by scheduling appointments, Assist members with understanding their Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and payment responsibilities, Serve as knowledge-leader for external and internal customers, and Various other duties required to meet established team goals and customer needs.” (CareerBuilder, 2011) The preferred knowledge requirements are “Knowledge/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of client relations experience. Healthcare credentialing claims and/or contracting experience preferred. Insurance billing experience, eye care office experience or health plan experience strongly preferred.” (CareerBuilder, 2011)
