Hurricane

Our world had come to a very serious problem where outnumbers natural disasters had been reported around the globe, including hurricanes. Hurricane is defined as a violent and destructive tropical storm with heavy rains and cyclonic winds. Meteorologist had classified hurricanes into five categories according to the speed. Historically, the World Meteorological Association creates a list of 26 names in alphabetical order every year to name hurricanes such as Irene, Katrina and Rina. As we know, this large and dangerous storm affects in many ways such as on human, environment and economy.

Let’s see what hurricane can do to human. Before the predicted hurricane comes, worried residents clear out store shelves of emergency supplies like water and canned tuna. Besides that, people need to evacuate from their living places. During the disaster wildness, they experience power cut and endless state of uneasiness. Once the violence nature gone, sorrow enfold their selves. In the blink of an eye, they lose their property. Deaths are everywhere. The injured one deals with the feeling of pain. All in all, hurricane really influences mankind in unpleasant manners.

Another major effect is to the environment. Firstly, it will lead to flora and fauna destruction. For instance, downpours that started on October 12 over Central America have destroyed crops in the region. In addition, more than two dozen dolphins, some of them pregnant was moved and housed in areas in the hurricane’s path to safer sites. The hurricane also caused unstable weather such as sporadic rains that showered the tourist hub of Cancun, which was devastated by the massive hurricane Wilma in 2005.

In addition, hurricane also affects the economy of the country that faces this natural disaster. When the hurricane attacks, people do not have any choice except to take shelter. Normally, they prepare themselves with enough food stocks and other necessities. So, this country experience scarcity...
