1. Has Father Daniel Mary established a future direction for the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming? What is his vision for the monastery? What is his vision for Mystic Monk? What is the mission of the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming?
Father Daniel Mary has established a promising future with a good sense of direction for the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming. His vision for the monastery is to transform the small brotherhood of thirteen monks living in a small makeshift rectory home into a 500-acre monastery. The monastery would have living quarters big enough to accommodate thirty monks, a Gothic church, a convent for Carmelite nuns, a retreat center for lay visitors and a hermitage. The vision for Mystic Monk coffee is to provide financial resources and support to the purchase the land for the monastery expansion.
The Carmelites are a religious order of the Catholic Church. Founded in 2003 by Father Daniel Mary, the mission for the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming is to provide a monastery for young men between the ages of 19-30 years old who are committed to living a cloistered religious life dedicated to prayer and worship.
2. Does it appear that Father Daniel Mary has set definite objectives and performance targets for achieving his vision?
Based on the mission of Mystic Monk coffee, it appears that Father Daniel Mary has set definite objectives. The objectives are measurable and contain a deadline for achievement. His objectives stretch the current sales production and expectations of Mystic Monk coffee. The target performance goal is that increase coffee sales will afford the monks a new 500-acre monastery. Once they purchase the new monastery then that will mean they met and /or exceeded the performance target.
