When marketing your website you have to decide who is your audience? Are you targeting men or woman? Are you looking for younger or older? These factors come into play because they set the tone for the way you go about marketing your site. Sometimes the answers to those questions are really broad other times they are very narrow. It’s your choice on who you generally want on the site. This is one of the first steps and also one of the most important steps ever. You can’t generally make any moves if you don’t know where you are going.

Once your target audience is decided you start on placing ads. This ties into your target audience because you are going to aim for places that they can see it. You should consider looking at sites traffic before deciding whether or not to place an ad with them. A site with no traffic is one you need to avoid, your stuff won’t get seen and it won’t benefit you in any way.

With the target and ads out of the way, you should have a better understanding on cost. With figures you have placed in your mind, start to pinpoint which ads and spots are more important. Again go for something with a lot more traffic on their site. You will benefit completely from the traffic they get on the site. Literally getting your money’s worth.

Create the ads that want to go on and represent your site. Make sure the ads that you are trying to connect with register on a emotional level as well. For example if you are selling ice cream on your site, Show a happy cow with a bowl or something that will catch someone’s eye. Coupons are also a marketing motivator, which will get you a lot of interest because they know something that you have is on sale.

Afterwards keep track of what’s going on as far as your ads are concerned. Check the amount of clicks and start determining your traffic based of the ads. Compare the views before you started and the views after you got started. Make sure the numbers make sense. If...
