The Republic of Lebanon, a country restricted by a geographical size of 10452 square kilometers, is a very beautiful country whose masses have had the honor lately of being elected by NYT[1] as the number one country to be visited in the summer of 2009 because of its nightlife, luxury, and modernity. However, within these modern walls of contemporary construction and under the milestones of the entire recently sown infrastructure lurks an enemy like no other, an enemy whose existence was the reason for this modern architectural erection, for it was solely responsible for all the destruction of the latter and the former, an enemy that projected by many variables, but could be constrained to a singular term, dogma.

When it comes to understanding the mechanism behind the current structure of the societal platform of the Lebanese community, we have to specify the moral zeitgeist[2] which flows in the mentality of the collective consciousness restricted to the geographical area under study (that is Lebanon). We find that it is mostly governed by the importance of the nuclear family and the biased gender discrimination along with the religious segregation of universities and schools which clearly displays nothing more than lack of progression of mentality, (aslo regression of mentality if we observe the study from a reference frame of global thought and interpretation of habitual mental attitude considering the constant increase in awareness throughout the century).

Even though some people find it important to maintain such values, I find it utterly useless. In fact, I consider values like these a serious deterent to the Lebanese society since they result in the weakness in individual decision making, restrict the freedom of thought, freedom of action, and of course create a sense of disgust to the educated and civilized world considering the irrational rationing of gender and religious superiority present on the tribal stage of our society.
