California vs. National

This report identifies and analyzes a research question that compares and contrasts California Unemployment vs. National Unemployment. There are three parts to this team project that will develop over the ensuing weeks. For Part I we will first, Develop a research question springing from the dilemma chosen by the team. This dilemma will be the comparison and contrast of California Unemployment vs. National Unemployment. Second we will determine and describe an appropriate research design for our study, Provide characteristics of our design such as the independent variables, dependent variables, operational definitions, etc. Finally, we will identify a sample design to use for collecting data.

Develop a research question springing from a dilemma in your organization

In order to compare the National Un-employment versus California Un-employment we will be collecting data from the Department of Labor. This data will show and compare the Un-employment rate in the country and Un-employment rate in California. This information will also show the trend of Un-employment rate growth.

We will be also using the data from California Department of Finance related to National Economic forecast and California Economic Forecast. This will provide the GDP growth of National and California in the past and the projected forecast of economy. Based on these two data sets we should be able to project the National Un-Employment and California Un-Employment.

Determine and describe an appropriate research design for your study. Provide characteristics of your design such as the independent variables, dependent variables, operational definitions, etc
