Part A

As a sales representative my duty is to make the most sales as possible in order for the company to be successful and stable. At the same time I have the fiduciary duty to let my clients know about any kind of problems that could come in between us, because trust and honesty are the foundation of a good and successful relationship in the business world. Even sometime it’s not the case. Secondly I have a family to take care, for that I have a duty of care toward my kids and wife. Yet, there are other factors to take into consideration before deciding whether to sign this deal or not .The pressure that I’m face right now is how to increase my sales without been dishonest to my clients, because if I try to deceive the trust of my customers on the short them I will be the winning party. I will strike the lucrative deal with Fortune 500 Company to sell them 3,000 new computers and three years of unlimited technical support, my company will be able to exceed projected sales for the third quarter. This will boost company’s stock price and help executives who want to exercise stock options. Yes I will earn an important commission.

However, I will not be able to deliver them 3,000 computers in time as I only have 1,000 computers available and the remaining won’t be delivered on time which means that the company I am selling the computers to will incur losses. Even thought, I knew I will not be able to deliver the products on time I signed the contract and said that only the manufacturer is responsible for this lateness. But the questions that arise are, would this contract the right choice? In order words, would it be ethical to close the deal with company and sell them the merchandise even though I know that it won’t be delivered on time?

If eventually I do not close the deal with Fortune 500. In the short run I will not be able to satisfy the stockholders, the executives of Micromesh, Inc, and my family will still be in need....
