One of CanGo major issue is deadline. Jack argues for a new layout that incorporates barcoding and automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). With the ASRS system in place, CanGo will no longer need the pick station operators to pick books off the shelf for packaging or wrapping. This function will now be performed by the new automated system that will smooth the flow of inventory and reduce the congestion in this area. Before this is incorporated we need to take a look at the net present value and the internal rate of return on the units.

Most important IT guys have a lot to perform before. They have to pull bandwidth and security projects to work on integrating data flow at several places in the system. Our recommendation for this issue is to maintain momentum during organizational shifts because is a key ingredient for the success of a long-term process such as data integration. The process of integrating data is complex, and can be quite challenging. Also start working on this as soon as possible that way everything comes up well. The most important stage of data integration occurs at the beginning: a requirements analysis. Depending upon the size and extent of integration, this can be complex and time intensive step.
