Survey National Oil Varco

National Oil Varco has been the leader of Top Drive systems for over 20 years. George Boyadjieff designer of the Top Drive took National Oil Varco from a three million dollar company to the 1.4 billion dollars corporation. With his innovative ideas he took drilling to the 21 century. During the early years Varco had no competition, it did not take long for the industry to develop product that could compete. Varco continued to improve processes and its competitive edge. With current threats from China and Norwegian Top Drives to shift market share to their product National Oil Varco is researching customer satisfaction and demands. The heart of the matter is how to increase TDS sales.

The National Oil Varco Corporation plans to conduct a marketing survey to examine satisfaction with in-depth questions on customer needs. National already hold a major share of the market and intends to maintain it, using survey research to stay ahead of its competition, and in touch with its clients’ needs. The survey contains questions that cover customer needs from cradle to grave. The first step examines customer service through the order process and the ability to meet client’s demands. When the material arrives at the rig site is it properly supported by N.O.V. engineering to make the interface with the existing rig. Does the Top Drive unit and drillers console function to the expectations of the driller? The following questions narrow the scope to cost savings and overall savings to its customer.
