The Gettysburg Address

It does not matter who are in this world, whether someone is millionaire or homeless and live on the streets. The nation we all come from each man and women are created equal.

Abraham Lincoln gave a speech called the “The Gettysburg Address” in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on the 19th of November 1863. The speech was about engaging into the civil war. Also, how the battle field would be a final resting place for those who have given their life up for their nation. He planned to do that, because he felt that the men who fought for their nation and for the land they love, had to be honored for their unfinished work they had left in the civil war. Lincoln’s reason for the speech was to show the people that they all live in one nation under god. He wanted everyone to stand strong and be proud of their nation and what he believed their nation stands for.

Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States of America. He was a very powerful and he was someone to admire. This is an example of the Pathos in the essay. He helped change the world. For example, he ended slavery and he led the country through a great constitutional, military and moral crisis which was The Civil War. He gave many speeches that we still learn about today. His quote from the Gettysburg Address states “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” that one statement is used in the pledge allegiance we use to where it states “one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." The way Lincoln went about his speech was very strong and powerful and it shows he was a caring guy and wanted nothing but freedom for all his people.
