Over the last two weeks it has come to my attention everyone has their own unique way of perceiving information and responding to each situation. The various learning styles were mind boggling to me because as the person that I am, I strongly thought that all people used logical thinking. I asked my sister, Christina, if she would be interested in possibly participating in a little experiment. As always the person she is very outgoing and the go with the flow individual she is, agreed without hesitation to help me understand this conflicting learning style. After a clearer understanding of the learning styles I could pin point what kind she was just from knowing her personality. She learns from trial and error and is a self-discovery kind of person. No matter how you explain a situation to her, she can never really understand it until she tries it herself or does it her way. My predictions in reference to Christina’s results were correct. Her style was type 4, a leader. I admire these two traits she carries, wishing I had the ability to experience just trying something I have never done before without hesitation. I am a logical person and must understand a situation before jumping in or attempting a feat without knowing what to expect. I have always lived by the theory of expect the worst, but hope for the best, and create your own destiny. Christina, however, is a true believer in everything happens for a reason and just going with the flow seems to have always worked for her.

My type of learning style results described me very close to how I perceive information and what is involved with coming to conclusions. With this two page essay, I was not able to just sit down and start writing I had to brainstorm, get the details down on paper, analyze all the details, and then start the process of putting actual sentences together.
