Thesis Statement: America is fighting a war against a hidden enemy also know as terrorism. In order to combat an enemy that lives in the shadows not living the way most people do America must reveal these hidden enemies. Human intelligence is the best way of revealing these hidden enemies because what better way to reveal these shadowy adversaries than through their friends and neighbors.

1. What is my goal in this paper?

The goal of my paper is to help people in this course understand that we cannot always rely on technology to win our wars. Too often Americans that technology is the means to an end and all too often think that to fight terrorism is simply done with technology, but that simply is not true. The only way to fight a hidden enemy is to turn friends and neighbors of our enemies and convince them that we are in the right and the only way to help their community is to turn.

2. What do I already know about my topic?

I have been dealing Human Intelligence for 9 years now so I have had a lot of experience in this field for a long time. I have seen both sides of the coin, capturing terrorists through means of technology and through the time old method of using sources inside the enemies own realm to determine who is who. I know that Human intelligence has proven to the deciding factor in most cases to capturing or killing high value targets.

3. What do my readers already know?

I have to assume that they know very little by means of Human Intelligence and the capabilities that it provides the war front efforts. I would assume that in most cases that the average American knows very little therefore I must start from the beginning.

4. What do my readers need to know to understand my point?

I think that if I were to show several examples of Human Intelligence at work I would be able to show them what could be accomplished. For example Osama Bin Laden was killed based on intelligence that came from some of his...
