1. PowerPivot for Excel - This Excel 2010 add-in feature is a must for business by bringing more computational power to an Excel sheet and providing fast manipulation on large data sheets. While previously in Microsoft Excel the maximum number of rows was 1,048,576, while with PowerPivot for Excel, there is no limit to the number of rows of data*(Limitation is only in the amount of RAM you have and when maximum is reached you will receive a memory error). Another advantage is being able to combine data from different sources and now being able to import data from virtually any data source, the most useful one being is a SharePoint List.

3. Customizable Ribbon – This is an excellent feature for individuals who prefer having their software customized precisely. It now allows you to add your most frequently used commands and tools to the ribbon, be able to group and regroup program features, add new table, and save your customized ribbon to use it in other Office 2010 applications. For businesses, it is a handy feature as it allows creating a tailored interface for specific departments or duplicating the user interface from the corporate office.
