Have you ever had the feeling of complete worthlessness? I’ve had that feeling. I feel helpless, sad, angry, and confused all in one wrapped up cocoon of emotions that I tuck away in the endless train of thought and time in my mind.

Friendship isn’t about whom you’ve know the longest. It’s about who came and never left your side. I found my best friend through work. I work at McDonald’s and I know that was one good thing that comes from working there. His name is Nathaniel Luis Dudley. We bonded almost instantaneously. It was like long lost brothers that finally reunited. We would talk about anything and everything at work. We didn’t hang out with each other outside of work much at first. We were happy to see each other every time we worked. It made the time go by so much faster.

We finally started to hang outside of work. It was great. I know I have a best friend when I can go to someone’s house and just sit there – even if I’m bored out of my mind – and still be happy to be in their presence. That’s how we were. We didn’t go to school together so we wanted to hang out at least every weekend just to catch up and talk about girls and anything that came to our minds.

Best friends are there to help you overcome and fix your problems and all the things that are bothering you. Nathan did just that. One night, I had heard some disturbing news about my ex-girlfriend and I didn’t know who to talk to about it. It was late and I went to Nathan. He stayed up the whole night with me on a school night until I was able to cool down and fall asleep. He was truly there for me. we just sat there and talked. He was helping me forget. He was helping me cool down. I am so thankful of that.

How can someone change so much with such little time? I cannot understand. Nathan changed. It was for the worse. It was like he woke up one morning and snapped. He wasn’t there for me anymore. He wasn’t there to help me with my problems he wasn’t there to make me happy. He wasn’t there to...
