Opening

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Paek Jae eun; Thank you for being here depiste your busy schedule. Today, I would like to give you a brief history of ToysBYou . We wish you can share our company’s story that how we were able to possess the current position in this highly competitive market.

In 1932, Toys B You was established as Mitsuka doll company in Busan. Although it started out as a small shop at first, Mitsuka company’s sales showed stable growth and soon became a darkhorse in the industry. In 1945, the founder decided to reorganize the company structure and move to Seoul for efficiency in running business, changing its name to Hanguk Doll Co.

After 10 years of solid business, Min Ji sok succeeded the business from the founder and became the head of the new company. In 1958, Min Ji sok established Jinsil Co., a distribution company to minimize external cost and seek a chance to develop foreign market. Due to his passion and devotion to target foreign market, it began to export our products to US as a manufacturer only after 4 years. In 1963, there was a need to change the word Doll into Toys of the company’s name to cover a wider range of customer needs and boost sales by enlarging product range also, so it had new name of Hanguk Toys co.

Continuous R&D and investments had the company getting bigger and bigger, and we finally could absorb Manan co. once was the most aggressive competitor in toy business. After that, we purchased Sambo Electronics and Jisuk toys to establish Hanguk electronic gaming company in 1972. These consecutive processes allowed us to start electronic game business ahead of late movers.

From 1980s, we expanded our business firmly and became a global company in America by establishing American branch in 1983 and in 1985 we changed its name into Toys B you.
