The Broadway café has run the businesses for many years. Right now, the business is going slow down over last five years. Running the Broadway café business as the outdated style makes the business down. After review the business, the Broadway café strategy should be remodeled to survive the business. Here is the analysis of the Broadway café.

First of all, the competitive advantage is the first important issue to analyze the business. The competitive advantage is used for examine the competitors of the Broadway café business. Competitive advantages give a company an edge over its rivals and an ability to generate greater value for the firm and its shareholders. The tool which is used for develop competitive advantage is Five-Forces Model from Michael Porter. Five-Force Model is the frame work for business analysis and strategy. There are five criterions to analyze the business.

1. Buyer Power

The buyers or consumers will have a power to buy when they have many choices. In this case, many consumers can go to other stores to get coffee, tea, salad and soup. When there are so many coffee shops in this area, the customers will have a choice to go. Many of them might go other shop where gives them better service. All information has not been updated, so the Broadway café is still old-fashioned style. Many people will go to the modern coffee shop. At this time, customers have more opportunity than they were used to have, so customers are importance. The store should implement the system to keep the customer information in database. This database will be collected all customer information, history, etc. The owner can launch all campaign by using the database.
