1. What is your perception for Kosovo? (General view) |

Kosovo seems like a very excellent and compelling country. Emotionally, I am especially drawn to the food, countryside and friendly attitudes of the people I have met here. Intellectually, Kosovo appears to be uniquely placed, among other ways, historically, ethnically and politically. The generational differences are also quite striking, especially regarding the relative global-awareness and interest in international politics of the 50+ population and the 25 and younger crowd. Generally speaking, I am interested in continuing to follow the evolution of Kosovo on the political, social and cultural levels. |

2. Why is Kosovo still struggling for the recognition of its independence? |

Kosovo is still feeling the aftershock of many years of occupation, resistance and conflict. It doesn’t seem strange that independence does not feel totally realized. I think a more practical political transition from authoritarian governance to a more democratic model will probably take several more years, as will the cultural transition (although based on my limited contact with Kosovars, it seems like the cultural transition is developing quite quickly) that will allow people to understand how to operate within a traditional (or perhaps a new style) democracy. |

3. Based on your research, which were the needs of Kosovars that you were able to identify? |

Most people I talk to report that the country needs to reform its educational and political systems.Individuals talk about a lack of opportunities to gain professional training and find work. |

4. How are the current events affecting the international reputation of Kosovo? (Name them) |

I haven’t paid enough attention to the international reception of Kosovan politics to answer this question well. |

5. How does the public diplomacy initiatives and approaches influence or improve the reputation of Kosovo? Are they suitable? |
