Google is an expanding company with market shares primarily high in every industry they cross. Their mission is to provide quick and accurate search results with the highest quality results. They also strive to make their revenues from advertisements on their search pages. Google has endless possibilities within the information technology field because they have billion dollar revenues and the innovation skills needed to continue excellence. |

Google and Endless Expansion

Google is a fairly young company that emerged in the mid 1990’s producing a means of searching websites to find information. Google search engines were not the first of its kind, but they developed a site where people could type in keywords and find information similar to the topic they were searching for. Google is run by an ever evolving algorithm. This algorithm is a series of code that will take the information that you type in the search bar and dissect the components to yield a series of structured results that will most likely lead you to the information you are seeking. Google, over the past fifteen years, has taken there site and expanded it to include cell phone operations, browsing services, television, computer operating systems, applications, cell phone applications, office software, email, and streaming videos.

Industry Dominant Factors

The main industry that Google inc. has focused on is the web search industry. The number of internet users in the United States is 93%. 66.7million people shop and use the internet for information, business and commerce. Companies recognize the ability to reach 93% of the potential customers for their products. The advertisements can be shown during the web searches but that company must provide financial compensation for the space and time displayed.
