Introduction

This report is a detail document on my continuation to explore and develop an interest in Net Apps to help in creating with my online presence and to communicate and collaborate online. The first step of my exploring of Net Apps was the creation of a twitter account and blogger page. As my knowledge is limited in the field of blogging, I undertook some research to understand exactly what it was. I researched the following net apps:

* Blogger: The term ‘blog’ is a shortened form of ‘weblog’. Blogs can be similar to an online journal and may be written about any topic you choose. You can start your own at Blogger, Livejournal, Wordpress or any other of the many free blogging websites available on the Internet. Blogger is a web-based tool that helps you publish to the web instantly which allows it to be a leading tool in the rapidly growing area of web publishing.

* Twitter: “The short format of the tweet is a defining characteristic of the services, allowing informal collaboration and quick information sharing that provides relief from rising email and IM fatigue. Twittering is also a less gated method of communication: you can share information with people that you couldn’t normal exchange email or IM messages with, opening up your circle of contacts to an ever-growing community of like minded people.” (Tweeter Net )

* PBWorks: Is a free hosted workspace service which allows collaborative editing of pages and files.

* Google Apps: Is a service providing by Google providing independently customizable versions of several goggle products under a custom.

* Youtube: “YouTube provides a venue for sharing videos among friends and family as well as a showcase for new and experienced videographers. Featuring videos it considers entertaining, YouTube has become a destination for ambitious videographers, as well as amateurs who fancy making a statement of some kind.
