Motivational Movie: What you are is what you were when……

Morris Massey has provided a wonderful video that will have you wondering what is really occurring on a daily basis. He focused on human behavior and the events are reasons why humans are to the point in which they are at. He also pointed out how we all look at many things in different ways, but they are all ultimately the same. This film review will give you a brief summary of what was discussed in the video and what my personal opinion is on some of the subjects.

There were many questions that were asked on the video. The behavior focus was on the fact that we are born with the ability to judge people. This is done by looking at a person’s clothes, shoes, hair, piercings’, the house they live in, the car they drive, or even how they eat a cheeseburger. We judge people based off of the things that we see and not necessarily off of the type of person that they are. We base things off of our values. The things like where we work, and how we work. If we have sex before we are married, or if we have sex with whomever we choose. Where we go to church at, and which religion that we choose to follow are things that are based off of our values. Our values are mostly based off of the way that our parents have raised us. We are programmed a lot like a computer. We react and do things according to what somebody has told us is right and wrong. We are programmed to say and do certain things in a certain way.

Gender roles have changed over the years. The times have definitely changed from the “Leave it to Beaver” years. Currently over 55% of the labor force is women. At one point, women were supposed to stay at home and clean, and cook, and take care of children all day. Over half of the marriages in the United States end in divorce. This was almost unheard of in the 1950’s. People began to focus on rules, roles, and regulations. These things are called value judgment....
