The theory that I tested happened about five years ago when I started the Weight Watchers diet with my mother. This diet and program makes you count all of your calories that you intake daily. The primary weight loss plan that most people choose is called the Point based plan. The plans focus remains on assisting the person in creating a calorie program that will work for them to lose weight. You start out with a range of 26-71 Points Plus to eat a day. You also get 49 points each week to spend how you want to. When you work out you receive more daily points to use. The research that I learned while trying this diet out was learning to stay away from certain food and to look at the ingredient list of foods more. The less bad food you eat the better it will be for your weight. I had a issue with my cravings a bit. But once I was able to get that under control it was easier for me. Also the less carbs you eat the less insulin your body will have to make. When I was on this diet I tended to use the website quite a bit.

I believe that my research with this diet would be a similar method as a psychologist would use because it was experimental and descriptive. An experimental psychologist is on who studies the process of sensing perceiving, learning, and thinking. This was a real learning experience for me. I had no clue how this would end. I ended up losing 15 pounds. But after about 2 years I could not handle it and got depressed. I gained 20 pounds. I then became pregnant with my two kids and have lost 15 pounds again. I will be working on my weight again. Hopefully this method works for me again.
